Q. Would mobile phone network (MND) data help me with my Smart Cities Programme? A. MND has been used extensively by Local Government and Engineering firms to help them understand people and vehicle movement and therefore many models have been enhanced with our data feeds.
Q. Are there any quick wins to be had using MND? A. One of the many benefits of using MND is the ability to capture movement in a non disruptive manner, no more RSI's or manual counting meaning monies can be allocated to a more accurate and richer data set.
Q. How do you collect data? A. Every mobile device in the UK has to communicate with the mobile network, this can be background actions e.g. apps running on your device or something as simple as making or receiving a call to sending a text. All of these actions are captured anonymously.
